 Due to the present political and geographical situation of the region on both sides of Pakistan and Afghanistan, it is the right time for both countries to negotiate and find out proper solution to this 'temporary line', as the government of Pakistan at this time also takes this issue seriously and before our Durand Line Conference, the government's Defense Department had also hold serious conferences on the issue of Durand Line.

Why not Pakhtookhwa..? I asked that questions several non-Pakhtoon Pakistanis and so far did not get an intelligent answer that would justify opposition to renaming NWFP as Pakhtoonkhwa. Why can Punjabis have Punjab, Sindhis Sindh , Baloochis Balouchistan , but Pakhtoons can't have Pakhtoonkhwa..? What that says about the status of Pathans in Pakistan ..? why we Pakhtoon are being treated like occupied Palestine who will breakaway at the first chance...? and if we do decided to break off , trust me with all its might, Pakistan can't prevent us. Pakistan couldn't beat Bengalis into submission and it can never force Pakhtoon into submission. Its stupid that some people who consider themselves super patriotic imply that Pakhtoons are any less patriotic than themselves.

After World War II, road construction and other improvements of the infrastructure were carried out with support from both East and West. When India was divided in 1947, Afghanistan demanded that Pashtuns in the new state of Pakistan should be allowed a referendum to decide their national affiliation. This demand led to antagonism between Afghanistan and Pakistan for the next thirty years.

Karzai was speaking at a meeting with an Awami National Party delegation in Islamabad, the Daily Times reported.

PQP chief Lala Afzal Khan, Awami National Party former provincial chief Begum Nasim Wali Khan, veteran politician and poet Ajmal Khattak, National Awami Party Pakistan secretary-general Abdul Latif Afridi, Dr Said Alam Mehsud of the Pukhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, Mufti Kifayatullah of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal and others spoke on the occasion.

Bashir Ahmed Bilour, the head of the newly set up ANP organizing committee, called on deposed provincial committee head Begum Nasim Wali Khan here on Thursday.

Leaders of the component parties of PONM including the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, the Pakhtunkhwa Qaumi Party, Sindh Thinkers Forum, Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party, Sirakistan National Movement, Sindh Hari Committee, Saraiki National Party, Sindh National Front and Balochistan National Party attended the meeting.

 President Awami National Party NWFP Begum Nasim Wali Khan while speaking on the book launching ceremony of Javed Hasmi’s book Mein Baaghi Hoon appreciated the fact that a diverse leadership had gathered to mark the occasion. 
She said previously other provinces used to produce rebels but she was feeling proud because Punjab also created a rebel. 
She commented that in the country’s political history, the three-year movement of the PNA (Pakistan National Alliance) was the greatest movement that had leaders like the late Mufti Mehmood and Nawabzada. She said that country again needed such leaders to get rid of the present regime.
